Our journey

Bayaluseeme was founded to have an “end-end control” in the food production chain to ensure food safety, quality, traceability and connection with the soil. LOCAL production, NATURAL farming and SLOW processing methods have been the cornerstones of Bayaluseeme.

Principles
  • Eco-sensitivity
  • Low energy consumption
  • Food traceability
  • Region specificity
  • Slow and small working style
  • Involvement of local community

Purpose
  • To rediscover and strengthen our regional food systems
  • To rebuild our disconnected relationship with plants, soil & other life forms
  • To secure appropriate employment to rural people in their own villages
  • To help people develop a taste for traditional, regional, wild and naturally processed foods
  • To build a local customer base for organic and natural farm products
  • In the long-run to create edible farms (not commercial) that are natural (not chemical), diverse (not monocrop) and grown for local consumption (as opposed to far-away markets) in the semi-arid regions of India.

What we do

Food Blog

Our blog carries stories of our products – their journey from farm to the kitchen shelf. It publishes detailed recipes of the products, their health benefits and simultaneously capturing the debates around them.

Apart from this, it mainly carries writings on Food, Health, Farming, Ecology and Culture and how these are intertwined.

Food Brand

Our e-commerce sources food from local and familiar farms, ethically forages wild food, processes them in a natural way, packs in biodegradable material and delivers healthy food at your doorstep.

All our food is sourced and processed locally at our own units or local partners’. This prevents food anonymity, long travel, food contamination, wastage and the resultant disorders, allergies & carbon emissions.

We share the story of every batch of food from Bayaluseeme, filled with surprise, adventure and failure, without sugar-coating any of it.

We are committed to sourcing food that is seasonal, local, naturally processed and consciously packed.
