Description
Groundnut cake has an NPK ratio of 7.3 : 2 : 2.2. The cake contains up to 12% oil and 55 % protein.
When supplied to kitchen gardens, terrace gardens and farms, it improves soil fertility, soil texture, pest resistance and the number (and diversity) of microbes and worms in the soil – making it a living soil.
How to use:
Take a 10-12 litre bucket. Soak 1 kg of groundnut cake in 5 litres of water. Leave it for 3 days. Make sure you stir the contents once in a day.
The cake softens and rises up three times like a pudding. Add 10 more litres of water.
Pour the diluted liquid at the base of your plant. Pour only as much as the plant requires (depending on the size of your pot). Stop pouring once the pot oozes out water from the bottom.
Supply groundnut cake liquid manure once in a month along with other manures.
After the liquid is applied, it is advised to sprinkle a handful of neem cake powder over it to keep ants at bay. (However, this is “optional” as the diluted liquid usually does not attract ants).
